In 1867, there was the mysterious disappearance of experimental psychiatric Doctor Klaus Ghast, his wife and his daughter Alice. Their abandoned estate was converted into a prominent rehabilitation center for the most psychologically disturbed criminals of Modoc.

Infected by the Dire Blood from below, the Asylum doctors started barbarically treating their patients’ decomposition with steam powered torture tanks and brutal electroconvulsive therapy. One night, mysteriously freed from their restraints, the tormented patients wait in the halls to exact their revenge on anyone they come across…
